This was an exciting redevelopment of a prominent site on the corner of Mill Road and Devonshire Road.
The complete redevelopment into a new butchers shop with a two bed flat above, fronting Mill Road. With two new duplex apartments and a studio flat accessed from Devonshire Road. Work is now complete and the property is retained within our portfolio.
Design Philosophy
Working closely with the existing tenant, this project completely refurbished and modernized the long-standing butcher shop. It helped preserve an important community resource for the local area. To support and fund the redevelopment of the retail space, we developed the rest of the site to provide high-quality residential properties. This approach balanced the ongoing commercial needs with the demand for housing.
The project’s architectural value and careful execution received recognition at the CFCI Awards. Now part of our investment portfolio, the finished mixed-use development serves as an award-winning example of smart site use and community-oriented urban improvement.
